It would help me, and I would guess others, if there were IMDB links for each of the movies. If anyone would like to go through and put them in a "review" with IMDB in the title, then we can process these and put them in the metadata itself.

thanks for the help, all!

Maybe I hold a grudge too long but I'm still a bit upset over the hijacking of the English Movie Server.

If you just get ids from the IMDB, you can also use them to form URLs for RottenTomatoes.

linking to other good metadata sources sounds like a help to our users.

How do the IMDB and RottenTomatoes IDs relate? I was just looking at that and couldn't work it out. I could possibly do something neat in SQL to generate the RottenTomatoes URLs from the IMDB ones.

Detailed instructions about the middle of the page:
http://www.rottentomatoes.com/pages/webmaster#linking

Here's an example:
Using the IMDB ID number, "0079501", you may access the Rotten Tomatoes Mad Max page using the following URL:
Mad Max: http://www.rottentomatoes.com/alias?type=imdbid&s=0079501

So, since I was procrastinating on doing something else and I needed a good distraction, all of the Feature Film movies now have IMDB links. Excellent!

While going through all the movies (the majority of which are Westerns right now, which is good in a lot of ways, cos I suspect lots of them aren't even available on VHS or DVD right now), I found a couple of interesting movies I wasn't aware we had, in particular Dressed To Kill, which is one of the Basil Rathbone-starring Sherlock Holmes movies, and Doomed To Die, which features Boris Karloff as Mr. Wong (a Charlie Chan clone, capitalizing on the Chinese detective's great popularity in the '30s.)

Looking forward to more PD movie goodness,
s!

Yes.I just checked. Its available at $10 which means that I would not have bought it . I am satisfied with my mpeg4 copy played in VLC. Actually when first shown in cinemas, it was a Bfilm and could be seen with the main Aclass film, newsreel, cartoon and shorts for as low as 15 cents an adult ticket .Thats inflation
